EVALUASI PENGELOLAAN OLAHRAGA REKREASI MOTOR ATV DAN SURFING DI PANTAI AIR MANIS KOTA PADANG

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengelolaan olahraga rekreasi Motor ATV dan Surfing di Pantai Air Manis Kota Padang. Metode yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Alat untuk pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah 5 pengelola dan 8 pengunjung olahraga rekreasi Motor ATV serta 1 pengelola dan 8 pengunjung olahraga rekreasi Surfing. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode evaluasi, untuk model evaluasi yang digunakan yakni CIPP (Context, Input, Process, dan Product). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari segi evaluasi konteks, olahraga rekreasi Motor ATV menjadi daya tarik pengunjung untuk datang ke Pantai Air Manis, karena wisatawan dapat mengeksplor Pantai Air Manis dengan mudah, namun karena berada di kawasan bibir pantai jadi Motor ATV rawan berkarat jika terkena air garam untuk mengatasi hal tersebut pihak pengelola memberi tahu kepada penyewa agar menghindari air pantai, dan rutin membersihkannya dengan solar. Dari segi evaluasi Input, sarana dan prasarana sudah memadai. Dari segi evaluasi Process, untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang terjadi seperti ombak besar dan Motor ATV yang mati karena air laut pemandu harus mengarahkan ke pengunjung lokasi yang aman dan stanby di lokasi. Dari segi evaluasi Product, perawatan untuk sarana dan prasarana seperti Motor ATV harus sangat dijaga, serta olahraga rekreasi Motor ATV ini memiliki dampak positif bagi masyarakat sekitar karena dapat meningkatkan ekonomi masyarakat. Olahraga rekreasi Surfing: dari segi evaluasi konteks, olahraga rekreasi Surfing menjadi daya tarik wisatawan maupun manca negara untuk datang ke Pantai Air Manis, namun karena kondisi cuaca yang menyebabkan ombak tidak bagus menyebabkan sepi pengunjung, untuk mengatasi hal tersebut pihak pengelola memberi giat melakukan promosi melalui media sosial. Dari segi evaluasi Input, sarana dan prasarana sudah memadai. Dari segi evaluasi Process, untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang terjadi seperti ombak besar dan beradu dengan pemain lain selama Surfing harus didampingi oleh instruktur dan menjaga jarak dengan pemain lain. Dari segi evaluasi Product, perawatan untuk sarana dan prasarana seperti papan Surfing, tali, dan wax harus sangat dijaga, serta olahraga rekreasi Surfing ini memiliki dampak positif bagi masyarakat sekitar karena dapat membuka lapangan pekerjaan.

EVALUATION OF THE MANAGEMENT OF ATV MOTORCYCLE AND SURFING RECREATIONAL SPORTS AT AIR MANIS BEACH PADANG CITY

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the management of recreational sports ATV Motorbike and Surfing at Air Manis Beach, Padang City. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The tools for data collection used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants in this study were 5 managers and 8 visitors of recreational sports ATV Motorbike and 1 manager and 8 visitors of recreational sports Surfing. This study was conducted using the evaluation method, for the evaluation model used, namely CIPP (Context, Input, Process, and Product). The results of this study indicate that in terms of Context evaluation, recreational sports ATV Motorbike is an attraction for visitors to come to Air Manis Beach, because tourists can explore Air Manis Beach easily, but because it is located in the coastal area, ATV Motorbikes are prone to rust if exposed to salt water to overcome this, the management informs tenants to avoid beach water, and routinely cleans it with diesel. In terms of Input evaluation, the facilities and infrastructure are adequate. In terms of Process evaluation, to overcome problems that occur such as big waves and ATV Motorbikes that die due to sea water, the guide must direct visitors to a safe location and standby at the location. In terms of Product evaluation, maintenance for facilities and infrastructure such as ATV Motorbikes must be highly maintained, and this recreational sport of ATV Motorbikes has a positive impact on the surrounding community because it can improve the community's economy. Recreational sports Surfing: in terms of Context evaluation, recreational sports Surfing is an attraction for tourists and foreigners to come to Air Manis Beach, but because of weather conditions that cause bad waves, it causes few visitors, to overcome this, the management is actively promoting through social media. In terms of Input evaluation, facilities and infrastructure are adequate. In terms of Process evaluation, to overcome problems that occur such as big waves and competing with other players during Surfing, you must be accompanied by an instructor and keep your distance from other players. In terms of Product evaluation, maintenance for facilities and infrastructure such as Surfing boards, ropes, and wax must be highly maintained, and this recreational sport Surfing has a positive impact on the surrounding community because it can open up employment opportunities.
