GAMBARAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN DAN KETERAMPILAN ANGGOTA KORPS SUKARELA PALANG MERAH INDONESIA UNIT UNIVERSITAS NEGERI PADANG (KSR PMI UNIT UNP) TENTANG BANTUAN HIDUP DASAR (BHD)

Penelitian ini berawal dari keingintahuan penulis tentang Tingkat Pengetahuan dan Keterampilan Anggota KSR PMI Unit UNP Tentang Bantuan Hidup Dasar(BHD) dikarenakan KSR PMI Unit UNP sering terlibat menjadi tim kesehatan di acara-acara seperti pertandingan-pertandingan olahraga. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat pengetahuan dan keterampilan anggota satuan KSR PMI UNP dalam melakukan Bantuan Hidup Dasar (BHD). Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis penelitian statistik deskriptif, dan dalam penelitian ini dipakai metode survei dan prosedur pengumpulan data berupa tes pilihan ganda. Sebanyak 56 anggota satuan KSR PMI UNP menjadi sampel penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan Tingkat Pengetahuan dan Keterampilan Anggota KSR PMI Unit UNP Tentang Bantuan Hidup Dasar(BHD) masuk dalam kategori “sedang” dengan presentase 51,79%. Jika dilihat lebih detail dapat dirincikan, Tingkat Pengetahuan Anggota KSR PMI Unit UNP Tentang Bantuan Hidup Dasar(BHD) masuk dalam kategori “sedang” dengan persentase 58,93%, berarti secara umum Tingkat Pengetahuan Anggota KSR PMI Unit UNP belum memiliki pengetahuan Bantuan Hidup Dasar(BHD) yang optimal. Sendangkan Tingkat Keterampilan Anggota KSR PMI Unit UNP Tentang Bantuan Hidup Dasar(BHD) masuk dalam kategori “tinggi” dengan persentase 53,57%, berarti secara umum Anggota KSR PMI Unit UNP sudah berada pada kategori tinggi, namun belum secara keseluruhan melainkan hanya sekitar 50% atau setengah dari anggota.

Description of the Level of Knowledge and Skills of Members of the Indonesian Red Cross Voluntary Corps, Padang State University Unit (KSR PMI Unit UNP) Regarding Basic Life Support (BHD)
Abstract: This research began with the author's curiosity about the level of knowledge and skills of KSR PMI UNP Unit members regarding Basic Life Support (BHD) because the KSR PMI UNP Unit is often involved as a health team at events such as sports matches. The purpose of this study is to ascertain the KSR PMI UNP Unit members' level of Basic Life Support (BHD) knowledge and proficiency. This kind of research is descriptive statistical research, and the survey method and multiple-choice test data-gathering procedures were employed in this study. 56 members of the KSR PMI UNP Unit made up the study's sample. The study's findings indicate that, with a percentage of 51.79%, the KSR PMI UNP Unit members' knowledge and proficiency of Basic Life Support (BHD) fall into the "medium" category. If we look closer, we can see that the KSR PMI UNP Unit members' knowledge of Basic Life Support (BHD) falls into the "medium" category with a percentage of 58.93%. This indicates that, on the whole, the members of the KSR PMI UNP Unit have an optimal level of knowledge regarding BHD. Meanwhile, with a percentage of 53.57%, the KSR PMI UNP Unit Members' proficiency in Basic Life Support (BHD) falls into the "high" category, meaning that in general the KSR PMI UNP Unit Members are already in the high category, but not as a whole but only around 50 % or half of the members.
