Abstract

Ryan Muharri. 2026. Analysis Of The Training Motivation Of Glory Padang Futsal Athletes

Abstract: The issue addressed in this study concerns the training motivation levels of Glory Padang futsal athletes. The study aims to determine these levels across three dimensions: intrinsic, extrinsic, and altruistic motivation.

A descriptive quantitative research method was employed. The study population consisted of all 22 Glory Padang futsal athletes, and the entire group was selected as the sample using a total sampling technique. Data were collected via a questionnaire utilizing a Likert scale, and the analysis involved descriptive statistics using percentage calculations.

The results indicate that the athletes' intrinsic and extrinsic motivation fell into the "moderate" category, while their altruistic motivation fell into the "good" category. Overall, it can be concluded that the training motivation of Glory Padang futsal athletes ranges from moderate to good. Consequently, sustained efforts by coaches, the club, and the athletes themselves are required to enhance training motivation, thereby enabling optimal development of the athletes' skills and performance.
