Abstract

This research was motivated by the need to re-examine the hockey skills test instrument developed by C. Sunderland, given that the instrument has been in use for a considerable period of time. Furthermore, modifications were made to the test instrument to simplify and implement it without compromising the essence of measuring basic skills, namely passing, dribbling, and shooting. This study aimed to determine the validity of the modified hockey skills test instrument. The method used was quantitative research with a validity testing technique using product-moment correlation. The analysis results showed that the calculated r value of 0.6 was greater than the table r value of 0.374 at a certain significance level. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the modified hockey skills test instrument is valid and suitable for use as a measurement tool for basic skills in hockey.
